What is INVESaT?
INVESaT is a European initiative which aims to bridge the gap between innovative small and medium sized enterprises and financial investors in the emerging markets of satellite applications, like Earth observation (including the european initiative GMES), navigation (EGNOS/Galileo), timing, geo-positioning and telecommunications.
The objective within the INVESaT Wikipedia tool is to provide users with a structured description of the sector particularly in GMES, GALILEO and telecomunication areas with special reference to the following topics:
- Existing main applications in the field of GMES, GNSS and Telecommunications.
- Major leading countries and players worldwide in the field of GNSS and GMES related applications.
- Whenever possible, assessment of the strategy of major space corporate players and management representatives of the GMES and Galileo programmes.
- Global market statistical figures, highlighting in particular SME / big players market shares. Market shares related to the various existing applications.
- Public and private investment data.
- Supporting policy Public practices.
- Assessment of the technological advantage of the use of satellite based technology in comparison with current ground based technologies and expected trends in the two sectors of GMES and GALILEO.
- Collection of reference materials on future trends and expected technological evolution of satellite infrastructure platforms within the next five years.
