The Nebraska Parks Commission has recently completed, with the help of satellite navigation technology, new topographic maps of 13 lakes and reservoirs to help manage water resources and assist aquatic habitat projects.
Taiwan has implemented such an alert system and California has built a network of 250 satellite navigation stations to monitor earth movements. Newcastle University in U.K. gauges movements in the earth’s crust. [1]
