KVR-1000

Characteristics

The KVR-1000 instrument carried on the COSMOS satellites provides black and white images with a resolution of 2 m and covering a surface area of 40 km x 160 km. These digital images are scanned from photographic films with a format of 18 x 72 cm, using a highly precise scanner.
The KVR-1000 images, which have a mean scale of 1:220 000, can be enlarged without loss of detail up to 1:10 000.

Products

There are two types of KVR-1000 available:


The location accuracy which is +/- 20 m without ground control points, increases to +/- 2-3 m when tied to ground control points. [1]
