Advantage of satellite data system - Scalability

From INVESaTWIKI

Scalability

By changing the equipment at a location, a site can move from 384K to 512K to T-1 (1.5Mbps)11 speeds, providing a scalable method to upgrade bandwidth without requiring an upfront investment in the fastest connection needed (fiber), while only needing a fractional T-1 (copper) at the moment. Some upgrades can even be done via software, providing additional functionality using the same equipment. [1]
